Classes and Events

We offer many learning opportunities for beginner and advanced anglers, as well as social events.

October 19th, 2025 - On-site Inshore Saltwater Class - $450

4 Saltwater guides with their boats, 8 guests. This class has become our favorite day of the year. We will discuss species and tactics and develop an understanding of inshore saltwater fishing for 4 hours, have lunch, and head out for a half-day guided trip chasing an inshore slam (Speckled Trout, Red Drum, and Striped Bass). Saltwater Licenses, tackle, boat expenses, guide fee, learning materials, and lunch are included.

October 26th, 2025 - On-site Inshore Saltwater Class - $450

November 16th, 2025, 10 am to Noon - Casting Clinic - $20

This class will take place at Byrd Park in Richmond, VA. 6 seats open. Class is good for first timers and advanced anglers looking to practice the basics.

December 6th and 7th, 2025 - Beginner's Comprehensive Class - $250

This class is designed for first-timers and beginners. For 4 hours on Saturday and 4 hours Sunday, we will cover a little casting, gear, knots, access, safety, fishing opportunities in the area, targeting fish locally through the seasons, fighting fish on the fly rod, fly selection, and basic fly tying. The goal is to drastically cut down the learning curve for anglers looking to get into the sport. Class size is of 6. No experience or gear are necessary.
